Douglas Katz, MD '90

Douglas Katz, MD ’90

Douglas S. Katz, M.D., F.A.C.R., is the Director of Body Imaging and Vice Chair for Clinical Research and Education at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, New York, and Professor of Clinical Radiology at Stony Brook Medicine. He was Attending-Physician-Of-The-Year five times at Winthrop-University Hospital, and is past President of the Long Island Radiological Society.

“Dr. Katz is an icon in the field of Radiology,” said Dr. Patricia Vorwerk ’86, a fellow radiologist at Winthrop. “He is a true role model to students, residents, and other physicians…his broad knowledge base, keen clinical skills, and stellar diagnostic and interpretative capabilities continue to outshine all others.”
